Tube quality is a major factor in the tone your amp delivers.

We have spent years listening to different tubes and how they sound. All tubes sound different in different amps, and at different points in the amplifier circuit. These tube sets represent hundreds of hours of tube swapping & listening. All tubes in this set have been selected based on the way they sound & perform at different points in your Fender amplifier’s circuit.

Your Fender has the potential to be one of the best sounding amps you’ve ever played through.  Give it the quality it deserves!

We have found these tubes to be among the best sounding current production tubes available for your vintage Fender. They cost a little more, but they’re worth it!!

Remember, cheap tubes sound cheap! Good tubes sound great![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”SELECT YOUR FENDER:” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_btn title=”Twin, Dual Showman, Super 6, Quadverb (Reverb)” color=”black” align=”center” link=”|||” button_block=”true”][vc_btn title=”Champ (blackface, silverface, tweed)” color=”black” align=”center” link=”|||” button_block=”true”][vc_btn title=”Deluxe Reverb” color=”black” align=”center” link=”|||” button_block=”true”][vc_btn title=”Princeton Reverb” color=”black” align=”center” link=”|||” button_block=”true”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_btn title=”Super, Pro, Bandmaster, Vibrolux Reverb” color=”black” align=”center” link=”|||” button_block=”true”][vc_btn title=”Bandmaster Heads (non-reverb)” color=”black” align=”center” link=”|||” button_block=”true”][vc_btn title=”Showman, Dual Showman Heads (non-reverb)” color=”black” align=”center” link=”|||” button_block=”true”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_btn title=”Bassman 50, 70, AA864, AA165, AB165″ color=”black” align=”center” link=”|||” button_block=”true”][vc_btn title=”Bassman 100, 135, 10″ color=”black” align=”center” link=”|||” button_block=”true”][vc_btn title=”Vibrochamp, Bronco” color=”black” align=”center” link=”|||” button_block=”true”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”OUR KITS INCLUDE….” font_container=”tag:h1|text_align:center|color:%23000000″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”3999″ img_size=”300X200″][vc_column_text]TAD 6L6 black plate Power Tubes: MATCHED pairs & quads of real black plate 6L6’s (see photos)!  These tubes sound amazing in vintage Fender amps;  very warm & rich – very close in tone and performance to  real vintage US made tubes.

TAD 6V6: We have been using TAD 6V6 power tubes in our vintage Fenders for years now and have been VERY happy with their superior tone and performance. They have a big, rich, warm tones for a 6V6 and a clarity very close to the US made 6V6 tubes of old! The best new production 6V6 out there to put in a vintage Fender in our opinion.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Tung-Sol 12AX7 tubes: These are my favorite current production tubes for use as the first position preamp tube in the normal & vibrato channels.  Exceptional tone!

TAD 12AX7 tubes: These work very well in the reverb recovery stage (VERY quiet) and in the vibrato circuit.

NOS/NIB Phillips 12AT7 tubes: For your reverb driver & phase inverter.  You will receive a 12AT7 with matched triodes for the phase inverter![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If your amp uses a rectifier tube you have a choice of a 5U4GB or a GZ34 (5AR4).

We also sell individual preamp tubes or sets of matched power tubes.  Please inquire for pricing & availability.

***We also have a very limited supply of NOS/NIB military spec Phillips 12AT7 preamp tubes, made in the USA. These tubes perform exceptionally well in the reverb driver & phase inverter of your vintage Fender amp.  They will last years longer than any current production 12AT7 available today.  They even hold up under the stress/abuse from the extremely high voltage used in your Fender’s reverb driver!   These ultra premium tubes are included in these sets… while supplies last.***[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Here’s what “The Tone Quest Report” had to say about our selection of power tubes in a recent review:

TAD 6L6WGC-STR: “The TAD 6L6WGC is the perfect choice for classic Fender clean and overdriven tones.  We found this tube to possess a deeper, almost “scooped” tone with more vivid harmonic textures, clarity and detail in the treble and upper midrange frequencies that nicely mirrors the voice of our vintage RCA and GE 6L6GCs.  This tube spills into lush distortion faster than the 6L6GC-STR, and while it is brighter sounding overall, the treble tones are not sharp or shrill…   Expect exceptional clarity, a percussive response to pick attack, and a fluid and lively transparency that often seems missing in contemporary 6L6 output tubes.  We aren’t going to tell you that the TAD 6L6WGC  possesses the full 3-dimensional mystery of our best RCA blackplates, but detecting the difference would require the same kind of geeky critical listening that we performed in a room, deliberately listening for the slightest variation in subtle nuances that aren’t going to be heard playing with a band.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.”

TAD 6V6GT:…we have good news – the TAD 6V6s bested our best pair of RCAs in our Deluxe Reverb, tweed Tremolux and Gibson GA-40.  How?  While the RCAs were slightly warmer and creamier overall, the TADs were brighter and livelier with exceptional depth, clarity and the beautiful background shimmer we love so much in 6V6s.  The clean tones are stunning, and the overdriven voice of the TADs is smooth and strong with excellent balance, robust lows and equally pleasing musical treble presence.  Perfect.  We won’t permanently revert back to 6V6s in our Deluxe Reverb, since we still prefer the bigger tone of the deluxe biased for 6L6GCs, but if we did, we’d load it with TAD 6V6s and never look back.”
